Baptism Requirements

(for children less than 7 years of age)

Parents must be members of Queen of Peace Parish for at least six (6) months. This means that parents assist Mass every Sunday, tithe, receive formation, and are committed to this community.  

∗We have no authority to celebrate any baptism if you are not members of this community, or live within the zip codes that correspond to this area (77023 and 77087) 

Parents and Godparents will need to:

Fill out the application that is provided by the parish office and bring the Original Birth Certificate issued by the Bureau of Vital Statistics (Birth Facts are not accepted)

∙ Assist the baptism preparation class (Normally on a Saturday from 11 am to 2:30 pm)

Godparents: If single, must be over 16 years of age; Confirmed practicing Catholics (assist mass every Sunday and receive Holy Communion). If married, must be married by the Catholic Church and bring the marriage certificate copy.
